I see my artistic practice as a frame story. I always make make make make. I make ceramics, objects, wearable objects and costumes. Also costumes for spaces and architectural elements, that I call spatial costumes. Even though every separate work can look really different from another, they can always relate to each other; for they all come from my world. My world is the body of stories I have created; stories of modern and future folklore, about domesticity, bodies, the uncanny and abject, murder ballads and technology.
I like to approach my body of work as being one big opera. Every object, wearable object or costume serves the opera. Every spatial costume a backdrop, every sculpture a prop, every wearable object a costume, every costume a character, every performance a scene, every installation a scenography. One day I will make an opera consisting of all my works.
Welcome to my world, welcome to my opera
